There is a legislative requirement under IRR 19, Statutory Instrument No. 30 of 2019 and S.I. No. 256 of 2018 that staff members involved in the practical aspects of medical radiological procedures must have adequate radiation protection training. An approved training course has been organised by the Department of Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering
